The Magician at the End of the World
A man inspired by magic, Chilean illusionist, mentalist and escapist, recognized today as one of the best magicians in the world and synonymous with challenge and prowess.
His great sensitivity for subtle and inexplicable elements was the starting point of his career in magic when he was only 8 years old. With the help of the magician Fernando Larraín, Jean Paul began in the art of illusionism and star a path that, in 2004, took him to the big stages through his first project “Magic Twins”, with a type of show never seen before in Chile.
Ten years later, Jean Paul embarked on a new vision and second stage of his creative life, a stage of great reflection, self-discovery and a process in which he gets closer to what he really seeks to transmit and defines as real magic. The art of Jean Paul Olhaberry is based, since then, on a deep investigation of the ancestral magic of the different native South American cultures, which has awakened the purpose of transmitting that which connects spirit and nature: real magic, that which emanates from the roots of life.

He is the most awarded Latin American illusionist in the world, consolidated for two consecutive years with the prestigious Merlín Awards.
Jean Paul Olhaberry enriched his knowledge of illusion and escapism with great masters in Chile, Holland and Spain. Visualizing the mix of his work and the interdisciplinary nature of magic, he complemented his knowledge with studies in theater, psychomagic, pantomime and ancestral magic. His artistic career has been defined by his participation in large venues, such as the Magic Castle in Hollywood, the Fuji Rock in Japan and the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile. In addition, his shows and documentaries have been presented at important festivals in Japan, the United States, China, France, Mexico, Spain and much of South America.
